GSL Education are recruiting a motivated Cover Supervisor to provide continuity of education during teacher absences in schools across Rotherham (S65, S66). In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain classroom discipline, and keep pupils engaged throughout the day. It offers valuable school-based experience while contributing to a positive learning environment. What You’ll Be Doing: Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences using prepared lesson plans. Maintain a calm, focused, and positive learning environment. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support students with their work and respond to basic queries. Report any issues or concerns to senior staff. What You’ll Need: Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role. Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills. Good communication and organisational abilities. A professional approach to safeguarding and school procedures. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
