Employability Tutor – Adult Skills & Employability Training
Location: Birmingham
Pay: £15 – £17 per hour

The Role
As an Employability Tutor, you will deliver engaging and practical training across a range of adult skills and employability programmes. You’ll work closely with learners from enrolment through to progression, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment or further training.
Delivery will include group workshops, classroom sessions, and tailored 1:1 support—focused on building confidence, employability skills, and job readiness.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver employability and vocational training (e.g., Customer Service, Business Administration, Adult Social Care)
* Embed Maths, English, digital skills, and workplace behaviours into sessions
* Support learners to achieve recognised qualifications and progression outcomes
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and motivational support
* Set and review SMART targets to drive learner success
* Monitor progress and maintain accurate learner records
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, funding, and Ofsted requirements
* Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
* Support learners with CV writing, job search, and interview preparation
Ideal Candidate
You are a passionate and learner-focused tutor who thrives on helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Essential:
* Level 3 teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent)
* Experience delivering employability, adult skills, or vocational training
* Strong commitment to learner outcomes and progression
* Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Confident with IT systems and learner management platforms
Desirable:
* IAG qualification or experience providing Information, Advice, and Guidance
* Experience within warehouse, logistics, or vocational training environments
* Knowledge of funded adult skills or employability programmes
