As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and refining automation processes within a professional development environment. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including enhancing existing automation scripts, collaborating with automation servers, exploring innovative solutions, aligning with IP developers' needs, contributing to development environment enhancement, and providing mentorship to team members.
In your new role, you will:
* Enhance and improve existing automation scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency within a professional development environment;
* Utilize automation servers such as Jenkins (primary focus) and GitLab, collaborating with build agents both in and outside remote in compute farms to facilitate continuous integration and deployment;
* Explore and evaluate various solutions to address unique use cases, ensuring the selection of the most suitable options to meet specific requirements;
* Align with the needs of our IP developers to develop tailored automation solutions that enhance their workflow and productivity;
* Contribute to the enhancement of our development environment and processes, driving continuous improvement in our development practices;
* Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment to elevate the collective expertise of the team.

You are best equipped for this role if you have:
* PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics);
* At least 3 years of experience as an automation engineer of design/verification infrastructure and processes;
* Strong foundational knowledge in Concept, Design & Verification tools and flows;
* Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in Python (primary focus) and Perl;
* Expertise using version control systems like Git (primary focus), Bitbucket and ClearCase;
* Proven experience in writing comprehensive technical documents;
* Hands-on experience with planning and ticket systems such as Jira or similar;
* Fluency in English.
It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of:
* Machine Learning;
* Automation Servers such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps;
* Unix Shell-Script, e.g. tcsh, or bash.
