Role purpose
As a Match Day Room Supervisor, you will work alongside the Room Manager to ensure the smooth operation of a designated hospitality suite on matchdays. This role involves overseeing setup and service to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Previous experience in hospitality supervision, preferably in high-end or event-based environments.
2. Coordinate service flow during matches, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the rooms.
3. Oversee the breakdown and cleaning of hospitality areas post-match, ensuring proper storage of equipment and supplies.
4. Monitor guest satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
5. Engage proactively with guests to gather feedback and suggestions for improvement.
6. Provide guidance and support to hospitality staff, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to service standards and procedures.
7. Oversee post-match cleanup, ensure all equipment is accounted for, and support in completing required paperwork or handovers.
8. Communicate effectively with team members and management for smooth coordination during matches.
9. Adhere to Manchester United’s health and safety standards, company rules, regulations, and policies.
10. Monitor staff performance and conduct during service, taking corrective action as needed and reporting issues to senior management.
11. Work closely with kitchen, bar, and hospitality teams to ensure coordinated service and handle special requests.
Skills And Experience
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for confident and courteous interactions with guests and team members.
2. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
3. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during fast-paced matchday operations.
4. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, specifically on match days.
5. Proactive and adaptable problem-solving skills with a commitment to high-quality service.
