The post holder is responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and monitoring of both long- and short-term strategies for antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety. The post holder will work closely with the Principal Pharmacist for Medicines Governance and Antimicrobial Stewardship, the Medication Safety Officer (job share), the senior pharmacy technician for medication safety, and relevant medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff to achieve these aims.
The post holder will be required to work effectively with the Trust Medication Safety Committee and wider multidisciplinary clinical staff (medical, nursing, and pharmacy).
The role will lead on audit and assurance programmes related to the safe and secure handling of medicines and will provide expert advice to ensure standards are met. Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for a full list of role requirements and main responsibilities.
