An established, global multidisciplinary engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and manage process design for water and wastewater engineering solutions and proposals across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and the UK.
Your new role
The successful candidate will take a lead role within a multidisciplinary process engineering team, focusing on water and wastewater treatment, pumping systems, treatment process options, and performance evaluation. This position involves working closely with major water authorities and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of process engineers in the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.
2. Prepare and oversee preliminary and detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and calculations.
3. Produce optioneering reports and project documentation in line withpany standards.
4. Evaluate hydraulic designs and apply expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes.
5. Coordinate and schedule project engineers to ensure timely tender submissions and process design delivery.
6. Maintainmunication with civil, electrical, mechanical, and automation teams to develop turnkey solutions.
7. Review supplier information forpliance with project requirements and client standards.
8. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality systems, including acting as Principal Designer where required.
9. Support business development by demonstrating technicalpetence and quality assurance.
10. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to identify new engineering opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Degree-qualified in environmental, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent).
12. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment.
13. Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
14. Proven leadership ability with experience managing teams and workloads to meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
15. Proficient in using proprietary software for engineering solutions.
16. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
17. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills.
