Teaching Personnel are seeking Youth Mentor’s in central/ south Manchester to work with our partnering schools to provide support to young people requiring additional guidance, support and encouragement. We are a teaching recruitment agency that provides flexible working opportunities for individuals looking for part-time or full-time work so you can work around your commitments.
What is a youth mentor?
A youth mentor is someone who will work closely with secondary school students to provide guidance, encouragement and support. Your responsibilities would include assisting in classroom management, assisting individual pupils where needed as well as the potential to support intervention groups. These sessions could be one-to-one, small group sessions or classroom support.
Who we’re looking for:
 * Experience working with young people (school-based experience, youth work, coaching etc)
 * Strong communication skills
 * A calm, approachable character
 * DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
