Studio Manager Graphics – DAY & NIGHT DRIVERS LTD
Do you enjoy working in a creative educational environment, supporting others to develop their skills, confidence and curiosity? We are looking for someone who brings initiative, care and a collaborative approach to shaping spaces where students feel able to experiment and explore.
The Graphics Programme spans undergraduate and postgraduate study across Camberwell and Chelsea Colleges of Art. Each course has its own direction, ways of thinking and creative focus, ranging from visual experimentation and print processes to digital practice, communication and research‑led design. Together, they form a connected studio community where students learn through making, discussion and shared practice.
Responsibilities
As Studio Manager, you will help shape the technical delivery that supports this environment. You’ll lead and line‑manage a small technical team, coordinating day‑to‑day operations, planning resources, and ensuring our studios and maker spaces are welcoming, well‑resourced and safely run. Liaising with the University’s IT team, you will also ensure that our digital facilities, including software and hardware, meet the evolving needs of our Graphic Design curriculum.
Working across the Millbank and Peckham Road sites, you will collaborate closely with academic teams and technical colleagues to support students in their practical development and contribute to a positive, open and inclusive studio culture.
Qualifications / Profile
You will bring a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in art and design, together with proven expertise in managing people, spaces and resources. A strong understanding of graphic design within a teaching and learning context is essential, as is familiarity with both traditional and emerging digital technologies. A strong knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation, excellent communication skills and a well‑organised, proactive approach to your work will also be key to your success.
This is an exciting chance to combine technical leadership with creative design skills, helping to shape our learning environments for the next generation of designers.
