Leader Education are recruiting a General Teacher to bring their expertise to an alternative provision in Durham.
This setting supports students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, so experience working with SEMH learners or other vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial.
The provision is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for pupils who face significant educational challenges, including permanent exclusion, risk of exclusion, or health-related barriers to attending mainstream education.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.
The successful candidate will have:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
* A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one
* Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
* Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning type and abilities, striving towards social and academic development
* High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves
