This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Professional Nurse or Midwifery Advocate to take on a new role within NCIC. The A-EQUIP Lead will lead the implementation of the Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement model across the organisation using the A-EQUIP approach to support all nurses and midwives to improve the experiences of nurses, midwives and clients in our care. Supporting the nursing and midwifery workforce to access Restorative Clinical Supervision across the breadth of the Trust. Working closely with the existing PNAs and PMAs to act as a lead, advocate and support for them. Assessing the needs of the services as to recruiting further PNAs and PMAs and supporting staff who are undertaking their PNA/PMA training. The A-EQUIP Lead will be a skilled specialist who will deliver quality improvement by coordinating PNA and PMA support for nurses, midwives and learners by promoting wellbeing, learning support and restorative supervision. You will work within the Practice Development Team whose focus is to support a wide range of high quality learning and development opportunities in order to meet identified training and development needs of clinical staff and learners. This in turn will contribute to delivering outstanding patient care and maintaining safe working practices. Main duties of the job Lead the implementation of the A-EQUIP model utilising the guidance issued by NHS England. Support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service and act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NCICs values, Kindness, Respect, Collaboration and Ambition. Chair the community of practice and events for all PNAs/PMAs across the trust. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the role of the Professional Nurse and Midwifery Advocate within the context of national governance policies and procedures. To promote and coordinate the PNA/PMA training amongst registered nurses and midwives to achieve the ambition of 1 x qualified PNA to every 20 Registered Nurses by 2025. To produce formal reports, action plans and briefings pertaining to the A-EQUIP model To liaise with professional colleagues at local, regional and national level, and feed information back to the organisation, and staff.
