Role : Middleweight Graphic Designer – Castleford
Salary : up to £35k per annum
Working Hours : Monday – Wednesday 8:30-5 office based. Thursday - Friday working from home. 4pm finish Friday.

General overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our in-house design team, working closely with our Group Creative Lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their proficiency in both print and digital design, as well as a proven track record of delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
8. Print collateral such as brochures, flyers, posters, and packaging
9. Digital assets such as website graphics, social media content, email campaigns, and online advertisements
10. Translate marketing objectives into creative designs that effectively communicate our brand message and resonate with our target audience
11. Take ownership of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables are of the highest quality and align with brand guidelines
12. Work closely with other members of the design team to brainstorm ideas, provide feedback, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment
13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve our design processes and capabilities
14. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
15. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide updates on progress, and address any feedback or revisions
Core Competencies
16. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field (ideally)
17. Proven professional experience in graphic design, preferably in a fast-paced agency or in-house creative environment
18. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software
19. Experience with both 2D and 3D graphics
20. Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
21. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts to team members and stakeholders
22. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
23. A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating innovative and visually compelling designs
24. Experience working on projects across multiple platforms and channels, with a focus on both print and digital mediums
Portfolio requirements:
25. A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and creative solutions
26. Demonstration of campaigns from concept to delivery
27. Demonstration of conceptualisation of design
28. Showcasing commercial applications and rationale of campaigns- seeing it through to delivery
