We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic SEN, SEND and SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in a primary school in Blackburn.
We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, offering flexibility to suit your availability and preferences.
The roles can vary depending on the needs of the school and pupils and may include:
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Supporting small intervention groups
* Working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Assisting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
* Supporting learning, engagement, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, SEND and/or SEMH needs
* Experience within a school, childcare, youth work, care or support setting
* A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* A relevant qualification (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Support in Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Health & Social Care or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
