Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based near Cambridge, is looking for a Research Associate to join their growing team.
Job Description
The Research Associate will report to the Head of Biology and will interrogate the efficacy and safety of our client’s cell therapy in a range of in vitro assays and in vivo models. The Research Associate will be based in the lab and will be expected to work with a team of scientists. Candidates will need to have experience working in a fast-paced, laboratory environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Culture of cell lines and primary cells
* Cell differentiation and characterisation by flow cytometry, western blot, and immunofluorescence
* Analysis of blood samples by flow cytometry
* Cytokine measurement such as ELISA
* Recording and analysis of results and compliance with data integrity procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates are required to have the following skills and experience:
* A relevant BSc, MSc or equivalent experience in the areas of cell culture (immune cells, iPSC, HSC, ESC)
* Experience with setting up and running flow cytometry assays (essential)
* Experience with developing assays for detection of cytokine or antibodies
* Experience with ELISA
* Proven lab-based experience with protocol design, data recording, processing, and storage
* Fluency in English – spoken and written
* A professional and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
