Duties
Duties include all aspects of personal care. You must have the physical ability to undertake all moving and handling manoeuvres, including the pushing and pulling of wheelchairs, and all aspects of the C.A.L.M. framework.
Time Requirements
The role is as‑required and may include days, evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins, and wakened nights. Public holidays, Christmas and New Year are also included. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of service users.

The Person
Must have or be willing to achieve in the first registration period the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) or meet equivalent registration requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council.
Must be able to establish and maintain professional relationships with service users, carers and colleagues through open and sensitive dialogue. You must be physically fit and able to complete all required training such as Moving and Handling, C.A.L.M., Physical Intervention, and Mandatory training as per organisational requirements.
Pre‑Employment Requirements
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme through Disclosure Scotland.
You must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within six months of starting the role and complete the required Post‑Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.
