Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, Neurorehabilitation

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced Occupational Therapist to provide clinical leadership across our Neurorehabilitation bed base and Early Supported Discharge service across Doncaster and Rotherham.

Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist you will work alongside the ward manager and other clinical leads to provide clinical leadership across the bed base and Early Supported Discharge Service. You will help with the triage, planning, prioritisation and review of referrals into the services, problem solving with the team any potential bottlenecks or issues with meeting service delivery targets to optimise patient flow.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Occupational therapy assessment and intervention principals and practice
* Up to date professional portfolio which will demonstrate reflective practice and evidence of on‑going professional development/education
* Extensive experience of neurological occupational therapy
* Knowledge of risk management and health and safety
* Knowledge of organisational structures and relationships in health and social care
* Knowledge of counselling/debriefing techniques
* Experience of leading a multi‑disciplinary team
Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* Post graduate education to master's level or equivalent relevant to clinical speciality
* Mentoring/coaching experience/qualification
Experience
* Demonstrable post registration of clinical practice within Occupational Therapy practice
* Experience working in an NHS multi‑professional setting
* Participation in clinical audit and evaluating the outcomes of a service
* Working to demonstrate autonomy in developing treatment plans, assessment, discharge planning for patients with complex care needs
* Experience of supervising others
* Evidence of leadership, influencing and implementing change
