Teaching Personnel are seeking a motivated and reliable Science Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant partner secondary school. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for science who enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning in the classroom.
As a Science Cover Supervisor, you will work closely with the science department to assist in lessons, support students with their learning and help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. This position offers valuable experience for anyone considering a future career in teaching or education.
Role Responsibilites:
* Support students during science lessons, ensuring they remain focused and engaged
* Assist with practical experiments, demonstrations and the preparation of science equipment and materials
* Help maintain a safe learning environment, following health and safety guidelines in the laboratory
* Provide support to individuals and small groups to reinforce understanding of lesson content
* Assist the science department with administrative and organisational tasks
* Report any behavioural or learning concerns to teaching staff
Role Requirements:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting
* An interest in science and supporting STEM education
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting classroom needs
* Science-related qualifications or background (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
