Registered Nurse Practitioner
Manse Road Medical Centre – Hours and Pay Negotiable.
Responsibilities
* Assessments and examinations for chronic disease and minor/acute ailments, offer treatment, advice, and coordinate further care.
* Read results and advise or prescribe suitable treatment plans.
* Continuously learn and adapt to new protocols, technologies, and best practice in healthcare delivery.
* Uphold a high standard of duty of care, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues as per NMC guidance.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care and optimal patient outcomes.
* Prescribing medicaments is desirable but not essential; further training can be provided.
Qualifications and Skills
* Registered Nurse with current licence and registration.
* Prescribing desirable but not essential; further training available.
* Chronic disease management training.
* SCRRS (smear) qualification.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Good time management.
* Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting health and well-being.
Manse Road Medical Centre employs a multidisciplinary team including a GP partner, long‑term locums, full‑time nurse practitioner, administrative staff, and supporting mental health nurse, advanced physiotherapy practitioner, community link worker, and NHS pharmacy staff. The practice has access to a treatment room in the nearby Health Centre and uses Vision, Docman, and electronic lab requests.
