Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Practitioner - GPto join our friendly North Wales practice on a long-term locum basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our community, ensuring continuity and consistency across clinical and administrative responsibilities.
This role offers the stability of a long-term contract while maintaining the flexibility of locum work, allowing the GP to become an integral part of the existing multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Conduct comprehensive consultations, examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
Manage both acute and chronic conditions in line with best clinical practice.
Prescribe medication safely and appropriately.
Provide preventive health advice, including immunisations, screening, and lifestyle guidance.
Offer compassionate, patient-focused care across all age groups.
Administrative Duties
Process repeat and acute prescription requests efficiently.
Review and action incoming clinical correspondence and laboratory results.
Complete necessary documentation, including medical reports and death certificates.
Contribute to the smooth running of practice systems and processes.
Work closely with Practice Nurses and other allied health professionals.
Participate in regular clinical meetings and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
Conduct home visits and nursing home rounds where appropriate

Experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and license to practise.
* Inclusion on the Welsh NHS Performers List.
* Experience in a variety of primary care settings.
