Offer description

Experience of event/function planning and delivery with a working knowledge of wet & dry stock controls. Capable of identifying gaps in market trends to generate commercial activities that maximise income while making operational savings (efficiencies and effectiveness) without compromising service delivery.

Shared responsibility with the Kings Hall manager to lead and motivate the food and beverage team, aiming to improve the department's financial performance across all revenue streams.

Ideally, has knowledge and experience of theatre operations (preferably in medium to large entertainment venues), including Front of House, recruitment, and staff management for front of house and catering/bar staff.

Ability to develop staff training packages aligned with the Council's appraisal scheme.

Seeking a highly self-motivated, enthusiastic individual capable of working largely unsupervised, with strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills to manage a varied workload.

Must understand and cater to community needs, balancing community and commercial use of the facility.

Occasionally, support for events, functions, and theatrical needs at city centre venues may be required, with Kings Hall as the primary base.

Proficient in IT, including Office applications, and experienced with work-based programmes such as wages, SAP, procurement, and recruitment.
