We are currently looking for a 6-session salaried GP to work in our large, supportive, and friendly practice.
We are a well-established GP practice with 18,000 patients, located in the market town of Honiton in East Devon. Our diverse clinical team includes 5 GP partners, 13 salaried GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, FCP physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We also have a health and well-being coach team that works closely with our local CMHT. As the lead practice in our PCN, we collaborate with two other local practices and have a good CQC rating. Additionally, we are a training practice currently training GP registrars, AHPs, nurses, and nurse practitioners.
We seek a committed, enthusiastic individual who is proactive and well-organized, with a passion for delivering high standards of patient care. Our practice encourages peer support and continuous learning through daily coffee breaks and monthly clinical educational meetings.

Main duties of the job
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will support and care for a diverse patient group. Your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking consultations (surgery, telephone, home visits), managing queries, and handling paperwork, reports, and correspondence efficiently.
* Making professional, autonomous decisions regarding medical problems.
* Assessing healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed issues.
* Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Developing care plans in consultation with patients, aligned with current disease management protocols.
* Providing health education.
* Recording clear consultation notes to standard.
* Collecting data for audits and ensuring compliance with QOF.

Person Specification
Experience
* Fully qualified GMC-registered GP
* Participation in annual appraisal and revalidation
* Registered on the NHSE medical performers list
Qualifications
* Experience in chronic disease management and preventative care
* Responsibility for ongoing professional development and mandatory training
* Knowledge of practice policies on prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, and safety
* Commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience in research and quality improvement projects is preferred but not essential
