This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to attend the office which is based in Mountsorrel, Leicester for regular meetings and training.


The salary for this position is £27,000 - £29,000 depending on experience.

Job Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving business growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. This position focuses on generating new leads, nurturing prospects, and setting up opportunities for the sales team. The SDR acts as the first point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a positive experience while effectively communicating the value of our products and services.

You will be targeted with and measured on specific performance metrics, for which both commission and bonuses available for meeting defined targets, in addition to your basic salary. To achieve this, you will need to understand the operation and benefits of our market-leading Dealership Management Software, as well as the additional products and services that we offer. This requires you to be dedicated, enthusiastic, fast learning and have or develop knowledge about business processes such as, but not limited to inventory management, sales and purchase order processing, workshop operations and the principles of bookkeeping and payroll.


Performance Metrics

* Qualified Leads Generated: Number of leads meeting agreed qualification criteria.
* Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into opportunities.
* Activity Targets:
* Daily/weekly calls, emails, and social touches.
* Pipeline Contribution: Value of opportunities created for the sales team.
* Response Time: Speed of follow-up on inbound leads.
* CRM Accuracy: Completeness and accuracy of data entry.


Key Responsibilities

* Proactively research and identify potential clients through various channels.
* Engage prospects via phone, email, and social media to qualify leads.
* Understand customer needs and align them with appropriate solutions.
* Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in the CRM system.
* Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimise lead generation strategies.
* Become involved in ad-hoc tasks as required.

* Achieve targets as set for your job role
* Develop and maintain a new business pipeline
* Maintain regular contact with allocated customers and prospects
* Deliver a prompt and courteous service to customers and prospects
* Attend and contribute to sales meetings
* Escalate critical or strategic issues to the Managing Director
* Provide status and progress reports to the Managing Director


Qualifications Required

Desirable – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience and Skills Required

Essential - Strong organisational and time management abilities

Essential - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential - Experience with CRM software and ability to adapt to new systems

Essential - Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques

Essential - Excellent negotiation skills

Essential - Ability to build and deliver engaging presentations
