Salary: Competitive depending on experience
About the Role
A global leader in Plate & Shell Heat Exchanger technology, trusted across refrigeration, energy, chemical processing, and wider industrial markets. As part of our UK growth, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can blend technical understanding with commercial awareness to support customers, develop solutions, and grow our presence in key sectors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem‑solving, structured project work, and building long‑term customer relationships — without the need for constant travel. You’ll spend most of your time working from home or the office, with occasional visits to customers, OEMs, or project sites when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing and developing a UK customer base across OEMs, end users, contractors, and consultants
* Responding to enquiries, understanding application requirements, and recommending suitable heat‑exchanger solutions
* Preparing technical proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation
* Working closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate specifications and smooth project delivery
* Supporting customers through the full sales cycle — from concept and design through to order and aftersales
* Providing remote technical support, guidance, and product expertise
* Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and account plans
* Attending occasional customer meetings, site visits, or industry events when required
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or solution‑based selling within industrial, mechanical, or process environments
* Understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, refrigeration systems, or process equipment (or the willingness to learn quickly)
* Confidence discussing engineered products with design engineers, project managers, and procurement teams
* Strong commercial instincts — able to identify opportunities, build value, and support customers through decision‑making
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to manage your own workload, prioritise effectively, and work independently in a hybrid environment
* Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or similar) is beneficial but not essential with relevant experience
Why Join Us
* Work with a globally recognised, innovation‑driven manufacturer
* Represent a product range known for reliability, efficiency, and engineering excellence
* Hybrid working with autonomy and flexibility
* Strong technical and commercial support from UK and international teams
* Opportunities for professional development and international collaboration
Who This Role Suits
* This is a great fit for someone who enjoys technical problem‑solving, structured project work, and supporting customers with engineered solutions — without the need for a heavy field‑sales schedule. Whether you’re an experienced Sales Engineer or a technically minded engineer looking to move into a commercial role, this position offers real impact and long‑term progression.
