We're looking for Staying Well Practitioners to join a new service in Eastbourne, co-produced with Southdown, a VCSE partner in Sussex.
We seek experienced and registered mental health professionals from all disciplines, including Social Workers, Nurses, and OTs. It is essential to be registered with NMC/HCPC/Social Work England and have crisis assessment experience in any setting that provides a safety care plan.
The service operates daily, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 4pm to 11pm, and weekends, 2pm to 11pm. We offer a range of hours and shifts and generous enhancements for evenings and weekends.
Based on a 'crisis café' model, the service offers a welcoming environment for those over 18 experiencing a mental health crisis, serving as an alternative to A&E. A supportive team of mental health workers is on-site.
This role includes the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 5-6 Nurses & Practitioners, subject to terms and conditions; see attached Protocol Document for details.
Main duties of the job
As a registered mental health professional, support Recovery Workers in delivering person-centred care in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment, promoting independence and aiding recovery for adult mental health service users in the community.
Sussex Partnership mental health professionals are Trusted Assessors, ensuring smooth transitions into crisis services without further assessment, avoiding signposting to A&E.
