I am partnering with a specialist London Market insurer with a strong reputation for technical excellence and underwriting expertise, who are seeking a high‑calibre graduate to join their actuarial team, supporting on both pricing and reserving across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity for a numerate, curious, and motivated individual looking to build a long‑term actuarial career in the London Market.
Your new role
As a Graduate Actuarial Analyst, you will work closely with experienced actuaries and underwriters, gaining hands-on exposure to core actuarial activities such as supporting pricing analyses to inform underwriting and portfolio decisions, assisting with reserving exercises, and developing and maintaining analytical models and tools.
You will also work with large andplex data sets to generate meaningful insights, collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, finance and risk, and contribute to the continuous improvement of actuarial processes and methodologies.
What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for candidates with a strong academic background in a numerate discipline (such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Physics or Economics), with a minimum of a B achieved both in their chosen degree, and for their A-Level Maths.
You’ll have a genuine interest in pursuing an actuarial qualification, possess working knowledge of analytical or programming tools such as R and/or Python through study, projects or internships, and can demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical andmunication skills, along with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
