Architecture & Solution Design Chapter owns the current and target architecture, ensuring optimal use of platforms and architecture fit for purpose now and in the future.
This includes governance across the business and Architecture Guild, covering the four corners of Architecture: Technical, Business, Software, and Data.
As a Tribe Architect, you will be a technology leader working with Tribe Leads to develop and evolve our technology and data strategy. You will be accountable for the tribe's architecture, aligned with Tesco Mobile's business strategy, delivering a forward-thinking, future-ready architecture.
This role spans from day-to-day data architecture support to leading strategic technology programs.
Within our Architecture Community and in collaboration with Tribe Technology Leads, you will define and own our Technology and Data Architecture strategy, advocating for the necessary changes to achieve our Target Architecture.
You will work with squads and the Architecture & Solution Design Chapter to ensure solutions are flexible, efficient, and secure, aligned with our Architecture Guiderails and frameworks.
Ownership of architecture documentation, principles, patterns, and standards is key to ensure consistency across solutions.
You will act as the approver for design decisions within your area of influence and provide technical, data, or architectural support for initiatives as needed.
Support the RFI/P/Q process by providing early architecture and design considerations.
Skills / Experience
You should be a subject matter expert with experience in Enterprise Architecture, successful project delivery, and transformational programs.
Broad enterprise architecture knowledge from practical experience in systems development, working on large-scale applications both on-premises and in the cloud.
Experience in the Telco or Retail industries, with knowledge of systems like OSS/BSS, eCommerce, CRM, APIs, Real-Time Charging, Mobile Networks, retail, and supply chain.
Experience with Data-oriented architecture and platforms.
Excellent communication skills, able to discuss complex issues with both technical and non-technical audiences and influence decision-makers.
A proven track record of embedding Architecture principles and shaping technology and data strategies.
Collaborative, innovative, data-driven, adaptable, and willing to work outside comfort zones.
