The Calisen Group is a leading player in the metering industry, and we are expanding our Commercial Metering business. We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to develop and deliver a strong commercial proposition within the non-domestic metering sector. This role involves strategic planning, contract negotiations, business development, and financial forecasting to ensure profitable growth and successful service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Business Development:
Develop and establish a strong commercial proposition within non-domestic metering.
Identify and expand the client base, developing tailored solutions for new and existing customers.
Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and market analysis to enhance product offerings and improve financial performance.
Own client relationships and governance controls, ensuring successful project and contract delivery.
Contract & Financial Management
Lead contract negotiations, bid processes, and ensure margin optimisation.
Create financial models, control business assumptions, and develop long-term strategic goals.
Oversee contract variations, terms, and delivery management in collaboration with operational teams.
Conduct periodic reviews of contracts, pricing structures, and market positioning to maximise business success.
Stakeholder & Project Management
Work closely with internal departments, including Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams, ensuring seamless project execution.
Lead stakeholder engagement to prioritise and deliver service solutions effectively.
Oversee project milestones and delivery timelines, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience in contract negotiation, sales, marketing, or business development.
Proven track record in financial modelling, P&L management, and market analysis.
Experience in contract variations, commercial performance analysis, and business forecasting.
Ability to oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet business objectives.
Higher Education (A-Levels) or a bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Strong analytical, numeracy, and financial modelling skills to support business decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
