TEXO Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for Crane Service Engineers to join our external client based in Teesside!
As a Crane Service Engineer, you will inspect, service, maintain, and repair overhead cranes and lifting equipment both mechanically and electrically across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect, service, maintain, and repair overhead cranes and lifting equipment across various industries.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all service activities.
4. Provide expert advice to customers on safety improvements and operational efficiencies.
5. Work at heights and in challenging environments while adhering to health and safety protocols.
6. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to assist in repairs and maintenance.
7. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
8. Collaborate with a skilled engineering team to deliver exceptional customer service.
9. Travel to customer sites across different locations for servicing and repairs.
10. Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are well maintained and in good working order.
Requirements:
* Electro-mechanical training with an electrical focus.
* Time-served electrical qualification (preferred but not essential).
* Familiarity with electrical drawings.
* Ability to work at heights comfortably.
* Valid UK driving license.
* Keen attention to detail with a troubleshooting mindset.
* Well-organized and professional presentation.
* LEEA qualifications (beneficial but not required).
* Previous experience inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing overhead cranes or lifting equipment.
Additional Details:
* Permanent, full-time role: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm).
* Overtime rates at x1.5 and x2.0.
* Additional payments for out-of-hours callouts.
* Company vehicle (with personal use), fuel, and mobile phone.
