An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy and supportive Outpatient Reception team based at Royal Gwent Hospital but also expected to work at other Health Board Hospital sites as required.

Main duties of the job

* Lead and work collaboratively with the Reception team and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and effective service across the board
* Encourage wider team working across the departments and hospital sites
* Involvement and awareness of emerging technologies
* Managing the workload for the team, providing a high-quality reception service for hospital admissions/ outpatient appointments and the preparation of patient notes
* Encourage and introduce new ways of working, whilst maintaining operational service delivery
* Providing support and leadership to the teams, including sickness management and performance monitoring
* Delivering an effective and efficient service, providing cover when necessary for other supervisors across the service
