Job Description
As a Court of Protection Solicitor/Associate, your duties will include
3. Growing and handling a varied case load of Court of Protection (COP) Matters such as deputyship applications, managing property and affairs files, including those related to personal injury and clinical negligence litigation settlements;
4. Contributing to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan to drive business growth;
5. Assisting the development and growth of the Court of Protection workstream;
6. Building and maintaining positive relationships with current/prospective clients, referrers and stakeholders and enhancing the firm's profile;
7. Contributing to business development including, presentations and training events, articles/newsletters, Chambers & Legal 500 submissions, etc.
8. Supporting the Head of Department, Partners and other advisors on their own cases, and the delivery of the departmental strategy and business objectives;
9. Management, supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring of (and delegation of work to) Solicitors and Paralegals - to facilitate the achievement of their business objectives and professional development goals;
10. Ensuring compliance with internal and external business requirements including ISO:9001 quality control, SRA Principles / Code of Conduct, Court & Tribunal deadlines;
The Successful Applicant
A successful Court of Protection Solicitor/Associate should have a minimum of 4 years experience working in Court of Protection. Please note that the level of experience is a guide only and does not preclude candidates with less experience from applying.
