IV: --
LOC: Remote (anywhere within the UK). Occasional travel to London.
PAY: The role is unremunerated though reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
FOR: The Climate Coalition
Following the successful appointment of two new trustees, we’re pleased to open recruitment to two dedicated member seats on our Board, open exclusively to Climate Coalition member organisations, as follows: Member Climate Trustee; Member International Development Trustee. As a member trustee, you’ll help steward the UK’s largest climate and nature coalition at a critical moment – supporting and constructively challenging the Board and Executive Director, while thinking beyond organisational interests to the health and impact of the movement as a whole. We’re keen to hear from people who: are part of a Climate Coalition member organisation; care deeply about coalition working and collective leadership; can bring insight from climate action or international development / global justice contexts; may be new to trusteeship as well as those with previous Board experience. You can find the full role description and how to apply here. If you have any questions about the roles, we’d be very happy to talk them through with you - just ask to arrange a quick chat. For both roles, we’re particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic backgrounds, who are under-represented in climate governance. If you’ve ever thought about stepping into a movement-level leadership role – or know someone in your organisation who would be brilliant – we’d love to hear from you. Time commitment: Approximately 1-1.5 days/month.
To apply, please email hannah@theclimatecoalition.org with a short expression of interest (up to 100 words).
