Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Supervisor to join our Penrith site. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on supervising production staff, embedding a strong safety and quality culture, and ensuring operational KPI's are achieved.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in leading people on the floor, improving processes, and ensuring products are manufactured safely, on time, and to specification.
About the Role
As Production Supervisor, you will:
* Provide line management to production staff, including coaching, performance management, and ongoing development
* Lead a safety-first culture by identifying risks, conducting daily toolboxes, and ensuring safe work practices
* Oversee daily production activities and report on key performance indicators
* Ensure quality standards are met, including final product checks and accountability for output from your area
* Plan and schedule stock production to meet customer delivery requirements
* Ensure staff are trained and consistently manufacturing products to specification
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations
* Participate in root cause analysis to address issues and drive improvement
* Coordinate maintenance and repair activities through the Operations Manager to minimise production disruption
This is an on-the-tools role, working closely with the production team — not an office-based position.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will bring:
* Previous experience supervising or leading teams in a production or manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies such as LEAN or 5S
* A strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Solid working knowledge of basic computer systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience in precast manufacturing (highly regarded)
