TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND secondary school based in Solihull. This SEND secondary school caters to children with autism and associated learning needs. The school offers fantastic facilities and opportunities inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally.
Role and Responsibilities
The Head Teacher is looking to take on a driven SEND Teacher on a long‑term basis for the full academic year, potentially leading to a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful SEND Teacher will work across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including exam preparation for GCSEs, and will help students achieve excellent results by following and implementing the schemes of learning.
What the successful candidate will have
* QTS with subject specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
* Experience teaching to Key Stage 4 / KS4
* Excellent classroom management
* Experience teaching across the National Curriculum
* Experience delivering personalised curriculums in line with EHCPs
* Experience teaching secondary aged pupils with autism and learning needs
