About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic subject specialist to help the department continue its success, with possible leadership opportunities available for the right candidate.
Main duties & responsibilities:
* Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.
* Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/tutor.
* Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to accelerate their learning.
* Contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school.
* Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
Teaching, learning & student progress
* Undertake a designated programme of planning and teaching across all key stages (KS3, 4, and 5) and teach consistently high-quality lessons.
* Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in the subject.
* Ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with school procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and home learning.
* Lead, monitor, and evaluate assessment and feedback to students in line with whole school and department policy.
