We are looking for an experienced driver to support the smooth and efficient delivery of school lunches, mail, library books and other items across Southampton and the wider area, including outside of the city for our Courier Service. The role involves driving vans for the purpose of collecting and delivering various items, which will include hot food and some heavy lifting. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities. They will also have experience of driving and manual handling in a similar role and excellent customer relations skills. They will also be capable of dealing efficiently and politely with a range of people on a daily basis. In addition, applicants will need to have a good knowledge of health and safety, manual handling, environmental issues, and they will also have a clean driving licence and an understanding of the Highway Code, principles of safe driving and appropriate traffic regulations. What We Can Offer You Salary: The salary band for this role is £26,402 - £28,207. The starting salary is £26,402 - £28,207 with annual progression through the salary bands.
