We are now seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our well established Finance Team. As Finance Business Partner, you will act as a strategic liaison between finance and operational teams, helping drive performance, improve decision-making, and support the business in achieving its growth targets. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver insightful analysis, robust forecasting, and financial support across multiple business units and projects.

Please note that this is an office-based role and you must be able to easily get to our Huyton based office each day.
Hours are Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week, with a varied work pattern of:
* 8am - 4pm
* 8:30am - 4:30pm
* 9am - 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
* Analyse project performance, margins, and cost drivers to identify opportunities and risks.
* Prepare and present monthly performance reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Support the Financial Controller in delivering FP&A activities and business-wide financial planning.
* Assist in the development of KPIs and dashboards to monitor business performance. Contribute to pricing strategies, bid support, and contract reviews.
* Support investment appraisals, business cases, and scenario modelling.
* Ensure financial data integrity and alignment between finance and operational systems.
* Promote financial awareness and accountability across non-finance teams.
Essential Requirements:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Experience in a finance business partnering or FP&A role, ideally within construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
* Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capability.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of project costing and margin analysis.
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth SME environment.
* Familiarity with social housing or public sector contracting.
* Exposure to ESG or social value reporting.
* Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders. Experience with Sage 200 & Sicon Projects
