Job Summary
We are looking to recruit Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioners/Emergency Care Practitioners to complement our existing team. Candidates should have a proven background in minor injury/illness or primary care and be able to provide a complete package of care to minor injury/illness patients while working under pressure.
Qualifications required include Clinical Examination and Minor Injuries/Minor Illness. Further development is possible, supported by a Nurse Consultant and Clinical Lead.
Main Duties
* Participate in the efficient coordination and delivery of care for patients, including assessment, diagnosis, administration of treatment and discharge or referral to other healthcare professionals/external agencies.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi‑professional team, within a fast‑paced environment, to deliver care to patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems in line with protocols and policies of the local service.
* Provide clinical expertise, leadership and education, ensuring high standards of evidence‑based clinical practice.
* Manage the unit on a day‑to‑day basis, acting as shift coordinator and assisting clinical leads in managing team members.
* Support the development of students, trainees and junior staff.
* Participate in and adhere to policies, governance requirements and service improvements, striving to meet national targets.

Person Specification
* Essential:

o Experience working in a high‑volume Urgent Treatment Centre.
