We are now looking to recruit a capable and effective leader to be responsible for the effective management of in-house environmental services teams and contracted services across an Onward region, ensuring high levels of quality, customer satisfaction and other performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
* Line Management and Leadership: provide line management to an Environmental Services team, act as escalation point, and ensure objectives are achieved.
* Resources: manage internal resources and budgets to deliver targets and high customer satisfaction; drive culture change based on company values.
* Health and Safety: ensure safe methods of work; ensure staff are qualified and trained; maintain records for monitoring compliance.
* Contract Management: monitor and manage external contractors; produce KPIs and audits; chair contractor management meetings; uphold specifications and standards.
* Customer Service: collaborate with the Customer Service Team to deliver a proactive service; review performance data and pursue improvements; handle enquiries and complaints as needed.
* Data Management: maintain up-to-date information on environmental services contracts, compliance, and risks; support data management systems.
* Performance Measurement: deliver services to agreed standards of productivity, safety, and quality within budget; produce management information and reports.
* Partnership Working: build networks with internal and external partners to deliver objectives; act as an ambassador for the organisation.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge and experience of service contracts and their management and administration.
* Commercial understanding of value for money and budget management.
* Knowledge of best practice in environmental services, including Grounds Maintenance.
* Track record of working under pressure, meeting deadlines and KPIs in a customer-facing role.
* Experience working in a team, maintaining excellent relationships.
* Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and external organisations.
* Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.
* Professional and flexible approach.
* IT skills – Microsoft Office.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience of environmental service provision in the housing sector.
* Experience of partnership working with external agencies.
* Experience of managing large dispersed direct labour teams.
* Working knowledge of horticulture.
Qualifications
Essential: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification/experience.
Desirable: ILM management qualification or similar; Level 3 qualification or above in Horticulture or similar.
