Science Teacher – Secondary

About the Role
You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils prepare for their GCSEs with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 if desired. The school operates a highly academic, knowledge-rich curriculum, designed to engage pupils and help them reach their full potential. You’ll join a department and wider school community committed to high expectations, collaboration, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, resource, and deliver outstanding Science lessons that challenge and inspire pupils of all abilities
Track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and address misconceptions to ensure exceptional outcomes
Foster a positive, calm, and purposeful classroom environment through effective behaviour management
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessments, and departmental initiatives
Lead or contribute to enrichment activities, trips, and wider school projects to enhance the learning experience
Participate in professional development, coaching, and mentoring to continually improve teaching practice
What We’re Looking For
Degree-level qualification in Science or a closely related subject
Qualified to teach and work in the UK
Passion for Science and commitment to raising attainment for all pupils
Ability to deliver interactive, challenging, and inclusive lessons
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
Both NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
