Are you an experienced and driven Project engineer ready to take on an exciting new role with a growing housebuilder?
We are aseeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join our client’s technical team. This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of their residential developments, from land acquisition through to completion.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll provide technical support across multiple housing sites, coordinating consultants, managing design approvals, and resolving engineering challenges to keep projects on programme and within budget.
You’ll work closely with the land, planning, commercial, and construction teams to ensure developments are technically sound, cost-effective, and buildable.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate civil engineering input on residential development projects.
* Oversee site investigation works and technical due diligence for new sites.
* Liaise with external consultants and local authorities to secure technical approvals.
* Review and approve engineering drawings, drainage layouts, and road designs.
* Manage utility applications and ensure timely delivery of services.
* Provide ongoing engineering support during the construction phase.
* Support value engineering exercises to optimise site infrastructure and earthworks.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and health & safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in residential or infrastructure engineering, ideally within a housebuilding or consultancy environment.
* Strong understanding of roads, drainage, and utility design.
* Good working knowledge of Scottish regulatory approvals and procedures.
* Confident communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other civil design software (e.g., PDS, MicroDrainage).
