Summary
A warm and welcoming family based in Weybridge is looking for a part time daily housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis. This is a permanent position offering approximately 28 hours per week across four days, with working hours ideally from 7am to 2pm. Flexibility is important, particularly on days worked, though Mondays and Fridays are essential. This opportunity would suit an experienced housekeeper who takes pride in keeping a home clean, organised and running smoothly, and who can offer occasional light support with the children when required.
This is a lovely role for a professional, detail-oriented candidate who genuinely enjoys cleaning and has a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily cleaning and upkeep of a 5-bedroom family home with 3 bathrooms and a cloakroom
* Laundry and ironing for the family
* Liaising with external services or tradespeople and being present for appointments when required
* Preparing simple meals when needed
* Supporting the family during occasional events or when entertaining guests (this may include weekend work from time to time)
* Light support with the children when necessary (the family employs a full-time nanny who covers most childcare duties)
Requirements
* Previous experience as a private housekeeper in a similar setting
* Excellent cleaning and housekeeping skills with strong attention to detail
* A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently
* Honest, hardworking and respectful with good common sense
* Friendly and able to integrate well into a relaxed but busy family household
* Ability to adapt and be flexible with tasks and routines
* A driver is preferred but not essential
* First Aid certification is not required
* Must have the right to work in the UK and be available for an early September start (potential for earlier depending on availability)
