We are looking for a driven individual who is self-motivated, pro-active with excellent planning and Organisational skills. The post holder is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must be committed to pursuing a CCAB Qualification.The post holder will support the Finance Manager and their deputy as well as service area teams, demonstrating accounting and business knowledge, analytical support and clear presentation of highly complex or contentious financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
They will constructively and positively challenge all aspects of service area financial and business performance and financial management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.Through a team of accountants the post holder is required to produce monthly budget statements and financial reports for agreement with the HoF for presentation at service area board meetings and to feed into the Trust’s position for internal and external corporate reporting.This is an excellent opportunity to join a finance team within a large, specialist and complex organisation with great opportunities for learning and development.Main duties of the jobTo assist Senior Manager in the provision of a complete professional financial service to theservice area. To assist the Senior Management Accountant/ Senior Manager in the provision of a complete professional financial service to the service area.To provide monthly budget statements and financial reports analysing variances and trends in accordance with the Trust reporting timetables. To be responsible for managing the production of the service area budget reports from the ledger, investigation of variances from plan and ensuring that action on changes required is taken while maintaining adherence to the Trust monthly reporting timetable.
To be responsible for ensuring that a customer focused service is delivered to the service area maintaining the highest possible levels of customer support.To ensure that rigorous financial controls are implemented and controlled across the service area for both expenditure and wte’s.
