We have been engaged by a Luxury focused, multi-award-winning Resort Spa, located in the heart of Leicestershire, to assist in the long term hire of an experienced Project Manager/Property Manager (Estate Manager/Chief Engineer).
Until recently, the Resort Spa had been a long standing family business, with high family values
which still hold high with the new owners. To their guests, they are a highly regarded spa resort, which is brought to life by an incredible team of people delivering amazing guest experiences in a fantastic environment brimming with innovative facilities. They have one if the most extensive spa facilities anywhere in the UK including six pools, fitness suites, treatment rooms, a hotel, and more, and their services have been perfected over the last 30 years and are regularly voted Best in the UK.
This role would suit an experienced Project/Property Manager with a background in the Leisure and Hospitality sector being imperative.
The role:
To lead the one of the UKs most successful Spa Resorts through its next phase of expansion. With a multimillion-pound budget the goal is to ensure the assets are protected for the future and developed to increase and improve facilities and bedroom stock. The right candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of the property management while driving strategic capital projects, and commercial expansion.
Project delivery will include both new build and refurbishment projects, thus supporting in the strategic growth plan of the property over the next 5-10 years. Planned works will incorporate both Subterranean and above grounds works, so a construction focus will be required.
With a property that was originally built in Victorian times, and then added to over the years, there is a stark contrast of old vs new, and how they integrate (internally and externally), so this position would suit a creative solutions thinker, and/or someone with a curious mind.
Experience of operating in a Live Environment is key, and this property runs on a 24/7 basis.
Ideally you will have at least 7-10 years management experience, with a team oversight of at least 15 personnel, inclusive of other management staff.
Experience of at least 5 years in a similar capacity as a Project Manager/Property Manager (Estates Manager or Chief Engineer) within a hotel and/or leisure environment.
This position is the link between the Engineering/Estates Team and the Senior Directors/Owners.
Ideally you will come from a degree background in Construction or Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or have a very strong Trades focus with vocational qualifications/accreditations such as RICS/NVQ/ or other Chartered Status.
