Runninga lively lunch service (4090 covers) with the team.
Helpingwith afternoon teas, the salad bar and if needed, even washing up.

Job Title: Chef with Heart
Location: St Marys Hospice, Ulverston
Responsible to: Head Chef
Contracted Hours: To work 28 hours per week, (a certain degree of flexibility commensurate with the requirements of the post is necessary) will include weekend working on a regular basis
Hours of Work: A combination of hours between 8am-6pm 4 days a week
What does an average day involve

* Putting orders away,
* Putting orders away,
* opening up the kitchen for the day,
* completing HAACP Documentation.
* Making soups, quiches, daily specials of your choice, baking scrummy cakes, sandwich fillings, pies.
* Preparing the salad bar for service.
* Attending the inpatient unit speaking with each patient and discussing their likes, dislikes and dietary needs for that day.
* Making meals for patients at lunch and tea time.
* Running a full lunch service alongside another chef and a kitchen assistant, anywhere between 40 and 90 covers. Preparing afternoon teas, baking for these.
* Planning ahead for the rest of the weeks demands
* Everyone does a bit of everything, including washing up yes really!
