The successful candidate will:
* be an enthusiastic individual who can lead the SEND provision across the school
* have high expectations of children's attainment, progress, behaviour and emotional well‑being
* have the National Award for SEND Co‑ordination (currently or be prepared to work towards this upon taking up post)
* have high expectations of their own achievement and development, both professionally and personally
* have excellent organisational skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation
* have a sound knowledge of implementing strategies to support pupils
* be able to model good practice, deliver training and recommend specific programmes of intervention for pupils
* be a team player who is creative, energetic and who will provide creative, enriching and inspiring learning opportunities for our children
* make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life
* be an inspirational and motivating leader with a proven track record of leading aspects of school improvement
* have high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and be passionate about improving the life chances of our children
* be an excellent classroom practitioner
* be looking to develop leadership skills in forward‑thinking environment
