Overview
Deputy Store Manager position at Crown Street store in Glasgow. Reporting to the Store Manager, youll play a key role in running the store — driving performance, maintaining high standards, and leading your team by example. This is a hands-on role where youll be active on the shop floor, setting the pace and coaching your team to success.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day store operations on the shop floor, drive performance, and uphold high standards.
* Lead, coach and develop medium to large teams; motivate the team and set a strong example.
* Support in driving compliance across stock, health & safety, and processes.
* Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve KPIs and commercial targets.
* Adapt to varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as required.
Qualifications
* Retail management experience in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment.
* Proven ability to lead, coach and develop medium to large teams.
* Strong commercial acumen and a track record of hitting KPIs.
* Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Experience in FMCG or big box retail is ideal, but not essential.
* You will thrive if you: lead by example, build a strong sense of teamwork, work well under pressure, drive compliance, bring passion to retail, and are ambitious to grow into a Store Manager role.
