The Role
To maintain and service plant, machinery and production equipment.
Duties to include; preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, as well as responding to emergency machine break downs throughout the plant; Involvement with installation and movements of existing machines; Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment. Ensuring machines and equipment are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
Day shift working predominantly, but must be prepared to work shifts, overtime, and respond to call outs as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical support to the whole maintenance team.
2. Administration and maintenance of EAM activities (PM’s, breakdowns, corrective and calibrations).
3. Generate PM schedules and SOP’s and implement.
4. Analysis of breakdowns to establish root cause and CI activities.
5. Liaison and support with suppliers and contractors for procurement of spares and repairs of machines and equipment.
6. Breakdown support and Liaison with production cells to establish true fault condition and help expedite a successful repair or remedial action.
7. Project manage Installation of new equipment.
Job Requirements
8. Relevant BTEC/BEng in electrical, electronics, manufacturing, mechanical or production engineering.
9. Apprenticeship served and proven track record in a maintenance environment working on a wide range of CNC machine tools, working knowledge of PLC and CNC controls essential.
10. Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical installations desirable.
