The Estates, Facilities & PFI Division of the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust are looking to appoint dynamic, enthusiastic Facilities Supervisors, to support the Soft FM Domestic and Catering Ward Assistant services. The candidate will be predominantly accountable for the day‑to‑day delivery of the cleaning services at Royal Stoke Site, and will also support the delivery of the Ward Assistant services. The candidate will primarily be based at our Royal Stoke Hospital Site, with occasional across‑site working at the County Hospital Site in Stafford, for which free shuttle bus transport is provided.
Main duties of the job
The Supervisor will be adaptable, self‑motivated and able to prioritise their own workload, using initiative to achieve set objectives and all duties and tasks required by the Trust. They will support the continuation of unity between Stoke and County Site practices through meeting key performance targets relating to the National Cleaning Standards guidelines around Infection Prevention, maintenance standards, PLACE and the reduction of hospital‑acquired infections, as well as Food Hygiene Standards.
As part of the FM Services Team, the Supervisor will manage the daily delivery of an efficient and effective customer‑focused quality service, covering Cleaning, Catering and Residencies. The role includes liaising with and maintaining business relationships with representatives of management within the Trust and other agencies as requested.
Qualifications
* Basic numeracy and literacy.
* Ability to complete paperwork relevant to duties.
* NVQ Assessors Award in Supervisory or similar.
Essential and desirable
* Experience in a service/customer environment.
* Ability to follow instruction and provide information, training, processes and procedures to other Facilities staff.
* Previous working experience within an NHS environment within Domestic / Catering Services / Housekeeping.
* Understanding of H&S, COSHH and Risk Assessments.
