Senior Payroll Specialist

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our growing team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll delivery across multiple countries and developing the skills of the wider payroll team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Payroll – EMEA, you’ll support the delivery of payroll services across a portfolio of payroll bureaus covering 10+ countries. This is a varied role where you’ll act as a subject matter expert, oversee payroll compliance and controls, provide training, and drive continuous process improvements.
You’ll also:
Lead on payroll governance, controls, and compliance.
Work closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Deliver training, coaching, and knowledge sharing across the payroll team.
Manage monthly checks, reconciliations, and reporting for payrolls.
Support payroll approvals, payments, and reporting obligations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cross-training initiatives.
Keep up to date with statutory regulations and advise stakeholders on payroll matters.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You’ll be a natural problem-solver with strong communication and relationship management skills.
Key Requirements:
Strong knowledge of payroll statutory regulations, financial controls, and pensions.
Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, data analysis).
Experience working with multiple monthly payrolls (EMEA experience advantageous).
A payroll qualification (IPPM or equivalent) desirable.
Experience with ADP IHCM (preferable).
