Technical Associate - Research & Development
Location: Cleveland OH
Duration: 12 months plus extensions
Engineering Associate – suitable for individuals with strong interest and background in science and engineering.
In this role, you will have an opportunity to:
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and even develop benchtop test equipment for characterizing a variety of material properties and conducting reliability testing.
* Learn quickly to become proficient in a wide range of tests and processes.
* Accountable for own contributions in a timely manner.
* Solve simple problems using scientific reasoning.
* Use hand-held power tools for sample preparation and/or projects involving hardware modification or fabrication.
* Collect and compile data from tests.
* Collaborate with multifunctional team members.
* Maintain the lab including labeling samples and proper waste disposal.
* Responsible for maintaining, verifying, and calibrating some lab equipment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/mechanical or relevant engineering.
* Skilled in programming and data acquisition.
* Knowledge in CAD modeling.
* Knowledge in hands-on electrical engineering.
* Must have strong time management and organization skills.
* Motivated to learn and apply new skills.
* Fluency in English language.
