The Role
As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing specialist refuse collection vehicles to a consistently high standard. This varied position offers opportunities to develop new skills, with training provided where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
2. Perform refurbishment and welding work on vehicles
3. Carry out preventative maintenance to company standards and deadlines
4. Complete all required documentation relating to daily work
5. Maintain safe working practices and good housekeeping within the workshop
Skills & Experience
Essential:
6. Mechanical experience from commercial/HGV vehicles or mechanical fitting/welding repairs
7. Full UK driving licence
8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
9. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
10. Professional, self-motivated, and organised
Desirable:
11. Experience with vehicle electrics and hydraulics
